FAQ for Boudoirs

Question: What do I wear?

This is probably the number one question I get and yet it’s super simple. Whatever makes you feel sexy. That could be some type of lingerie, a bar and panty set, a robe, a lace cover, a t-shirt and panties, or nothing at all. Sometimes the sexiest shots can happen when you’re wrapped up in a sheet. Don’t over think the outfits.

Question: “I don’t know what to bring so I brought everything…”

I guess this isn’t really a question but I have heard this almost every time someone shows up for a boudoir session. Too many options may confuse you so I find it’s best to think about which ones you really love. Those are often the ones we’d pick if we went through your entire suit case together :p.

Question: How long is the session?

We do offer different packages, which you can find under our prices & promotions tab, so your session time will it depends on which you book. We offer a mini 45min session, and an hour and a half session. Both sessions take a different approach but typically for 45mins you can do two outfit changes.

Question: Do you have a recommended make-up artist?

YASSSS, good god yes!! Lets be real for a second… I’m sure we’ve all thought at one time or another that it was a good idea to go into Sephora to buy a product and get our make-up done. Well, yes in theory that’s great but your boudoir session is not the situation where you want to take that gamble. You have two options: you may come out of Sephora, or MAC looking fabulous and feeling like Beyonce. Or option two: you may come out feeling like a drag queen that’s now overly stressed about how you’re going to “fix” your make-up for the session.   SO to avoid that whole situation we have Nadeen. She is the owner, and make-up artist of Faces by Nadeen. You can check out her work here: https://facesbynadeen.wixsite.com/muartistry I do leave it up to my clients to book their own session with her- just to keep things from getting super confusing. Just let her know what it’s for, and with whom and you’ll receive a great price!

Question: Can I bring a friend?

Hell yes! If you can convince them you two should do your sessions back to back. Strength in numbers, right?! In all seriousness we don’t mind you bringing along a friend. We do however ask that they don’t feel the need to step in and constantly say “bring your hand back”, “you should do this pose”, “can I fix her hair for one minute”. I promise I’ve got you covered in all of those areas! We also ask that you do not bring your significant other to the shoot.
